Luigi’s Mansion 3 Review - NovaGames

With simple mechanics, Luigi’s Mansions 3 is a game in which the story is quite simple, and characters settle but expressive. The kind of game you want to find happily under the Christmas tree wrapped in decorative paper. It is genuinely nourishing, and you will be having fun with your loved one snuggled on the couch.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply that the game isn’t filled with variety of problems.

In this game, Luigi was invited to a remote resort to go on a vacation which is going to the one that goes horribly wrong. The whole plan was a mischief by Luigi’s arch enemy King Boo and the hotelier Hellen Gravely. Luigi is left to defeat the staff of the hotel. Retrieve elevator buttons in a haunted luxury hotel.

The hotel is spooky and unsettling with each floor connecting shadow box view. It has a concept of a hunting doll house and each shadow box is designed to be a one micro-world with itself giving you the realness of the game with every single detail. Within a hotel you can also find a garden, a nightclub, ability to shop and a museum of natural history so there is always something to explore.

You will be stumbling upon a boss fight in an early game, which is fighting against a mall cop. After that, Luigi will find a water-gun and he will change his posture with a glimpse in his eyes.

One of your missions here will be to vacuum ghosts all around the hotel. You will be vacuuming all kinds of staff around. Don’t hesitate to use your vacuum even on characters that mind their own business. Deal with as many ghosts as you can!

With main collectable in Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the money, you can start from having only a few coins to hording up to thousands upon thousands! Unfortunately, you really won’t have any particular use of them. Ghosts are not going to be interested in your money so you can spend it on them, but yet they lauder it in the hotel’s laundry room and hide it away even in their bodies. That is giving us some suspicion on Mario Brothers inhabit.

Since Luigi has no use of money, you can only use them for gaining extra lives and collectable locations around the map, so while Luigi is vacuuming those ghosts, the first hour of gameplay is amazing.

The game feels like it is supposed to be understood and explained by itself but somehow fails to do so, since nothing really connects or makes sense. With nothing really coming together, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is quite charming but exceptionally weird.

Being that this game is best enjoyed by being shared, exploring the haunted hotel can require dual action making the process much faster. Encountering variety of timed puzzles and bosses, the game might appear difficult for one player to handle game’s abysmal, so having another player to draw attention can really come in handy. If the controls were more precise, Luigi’s Mansion 3 would be at least a little easier to handle, but despite all the problems, the game is still appreciated very much. With a wonderfully designed world filled liveliness and ghosts, grab a partner, get cozy on a cauch and immerse in Luigi’s Mansion 3. Without a doubt you will be having fun for at least the first few chapters. Although it might become monotone vacuuming ghosts, you can exercise the gameplay in other fun parts of the Hotel as mentioned before. So, is it all that it claims to be?
