Taking the unique approach, Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign contains puzzle and RPG elements. This mixture is quite refreshing. Engaging since it is placing some nice depth to the formula. In the game, your mission is to match three tiles that are the same type in order to make damage and defeat enemies. The same way you can going to block their special attacks, and, in the battle, you will be allowed to choose on which enemy you want to bring the damage. Make sure to develop a certain strategy. Deal with enemies with healing abilities. Keep in mind that if you choose to randomly defeat enemies, that will take you nowhere.


The best part of the game is that you are able to customize your character exactly how you want making the gameplay engaging. Every character will come with special attacks and abilities forcing you to think ahead and plan your attacks in order to make them more effective.


Because Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is a free to play game, not everything is to bright. It is built so you have to pay for certain items in the game if you want to get them, so simple grinding is not enough. You will need to play for hours on hours in order to get some items that you need/want, if you want to avoid spending money on them which can be quite exhausting and can become boring quickly.


For the future, things don’t really look promising since the game is only adding more items for purchase. Better option was is the game was not for free, and you have to buy it, but the items are completely free, but developers were not interested in taking that direction while making the game.


But those are just some issues with free-to-play games which we are having to deal with nowadays. However, these small issues can be a deal breaker for some players, and we don’t blame them. Although Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign core experience is great and you will be hooked for hours, it won’t be long until your get bored and want so much more from the game without having to pay for items. Character leveling can be a long process, but if you don’t mind purchasing materials and items, then it really is an awesome and engaging game to spend your time on.
